What is health coaching?

Hi Beautiful, I am Andene Thomson, founder of Healthy Girl, certified holistic health coach, wellness expert and lifestyle blogger. During 2016 – 2017, I studied and trained through The Institute of Integrative Nutrition (based in New York City), one of the largest nutrition schools in the world, and become a certified holistic health coach.
During my course, I gained practical and theoretical knowledge of many different dietary philosophies as well as life coaching techniques, so that today I can successfully guide woman along their wellness journey, and help them to live their best lives possible.
Many of us have heard the term health coach, but are unfamiliar with its meaning. As a health coach, I will encourage and enable you to become the best version of yourself, and motivate you to achieve your highest dreams and goals. Together, we will spend time not only focusing on your dietary needs but your overall lifestyle too – both elements play a big part in your overall health and happiness.

We’ve all been through it, diet after diet and exercise programs with no lasting results! Health Coaching isn’t about quick fixes and extreme lifestyle changes. It’s about working at a pace you feel comfortable with and making small changes along the way to achieve your health and happiness goals. Together, we will discover your bio-individuality, meaning a solution that works for you as the wonderful individual you are!
Whether your goal is to have a healthy relationship with food, find an exercise routine that you LOVE, overcome your body image issues or work through your relationship struggles – I am here to listen to your concerns and struggles and help support you to make a plan and get to where you want to be!
• How my Health Coaching works
I work with women of all ages to help end their battles with body image, create and maintain a healthy way of eating for life, manage stress and to overcome life’s challenges. My goal is to help you improve your overall lifestyle, and leave you feeling energized, beautiful, and bursting with health, love and happiness.
STEP ONE: Book your initial health history session
To begin, we will have a 60-minute chat about your health history so we can get to know each other, understand your past, and figure out where and why you are struggling in order for us to set realistic goals for your future.
STEP TWO: Your follow up session/s
60-minute one-on-one session. During your consult, we will discuss your progress or struggles and develop a plan of action that will inspire and propel you forward.
Always remember, we do things at a pace that is comfortable for you. This is your journey. The beauty of health coaching with me is that it can be done from anywhere… thank you technology!
