Chilli Chocolate Healthy Girl Protein Balls

Are you a chilli chocolate lover?
If you are, you’ll be happy to know that you can now add a little fiery chili kick to your Healthy Girl protein balls thanks to this new recipe! This is honestly one of my FAVOURITE protein ball combinations so far.
Chilli Chocolate Healthy Girl Protein Balls
Makes: 24 balls
Ingredients:
- 1 x Healthy Girl Cacao Crunch Protein Ball Mix – shop here
- 1/3 cup Tahini (or Almond Butter)
- 1-2 tbsp Organic Maple Syrup (or Honey)
- 1/4 cup Organic Coconut Oil
- 1-2 tsp Chilli Flakes
- 75g Dark chocolate (I used Lindt 85% dark chocolate), grated
Method:
- In a pan, add the coconut oil and chilli flakes. Turn up the heat and allow to warm up until the coconut oil has melted and taken a bit of colour from the chilli flakes – about 5 mins.
- Strain the oil (to separate the chilli flakes) and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, empty out the protein ball mix.
- Pour in the strained coconut oil, tahini and maple syrup.
- Mix well with your hands (or a spoon) until a sticky dough-like consistency is reached.
- Roll mixture into balls and dip into the grated chocolate.
- Place the balls into an airtight container, in the fridge, and allow to set for about an hour.
Tip: Be careful not to add too many chilli flakes. The chilli flakes must not over-power the protein ball. There must just be a slight hotness (if that makes sense).
